A weather chart obsessed surfer, Ed is best known for his role as the founding editor of magicseaweed.com the world’s most widely used surf forecast. After a decade of documenting swells and building and selling goods he’s painfully aware of the contradictions at the heart of the environmentally conscious traveller and consumer.
He currently runs Edible Space, a small company which is committed to developing sustainable companies and has launched the digital careers of household names such as plant-based entrepreneur Deliciously Ella.
After years of working closely with the likes of Surfers Against Sewage and Save the Waves he is committed to trying to make a tangible difference in how businesses work in relation to their environment and to help facilitate a move to materials which will replace our current staples. Corporates are accomplished green-washers, but equally many solutions are complex and often imperfect. As a father and a perennial optimist he hopes to be part of the pivot to a reduced footprint future.
Besides sticking his shoulder to the wheel here, he’s got something else fermenting which he hopes will only leave an impermanent mark in the sand.
